The safari will start with four nights at Mashatu, located in the Tuli Block region (shout-east of Botswana). Mashatu has the largest elephant population (almost 900) on private land in the world. There is also a very good number of lions and leopard and Mashatu has the finest game viewing of the region. The lodge offers luxury accomodation in both permanent tented camps each designed to combine a luxury safari experience with a taste of the African bushveld.
Day 5:
You will then be transferred to Johannesburg for a transition night at the Citi Lodge.
Days 6 to 8:
After a short flight from Jo'Burg to Maun in Botswana, you will be transferred via charter flight to the Mapula Lodge for a three nights stay. Mapula Lodge is an up-market Botswana Safari Lodge situated in the northern part of the Okavango Delta, an area ideal for both land and waterborne activities. The shallow channels and floodplains invite tranquil Mokoro trips in the clear Delta waters, while the larger islands are home to a wide variety of game, viewed from the vantage of open 4x4 game drive vehicles.
Days 9 to 11:
After an other air charter transfer you will spend 3 nights at the Khwai River Lodge in the Moremi Game Reserve. Khwai is renowned for its large concentrations of mammals and it is not unusual to see many different types of wildlife from the comfort of your own private deck. As a year round destination for wildlife, predators can regularly be seen in the area, rated as one of the most prolific in Botswana for viewing wildlife. The exceptional location of Khwai makes it a regular host to Elephant, Buffalo, Lion, Leopard, Cheetah and Wild Dogs. Birdlife can also be viewed in abundance with exceptional sightings of wildfowl and raptors near the lodge.
Days 12 to 14:
After the charter flight from Khwai to Maun you will fly with Air Namibia from Maun to Windhoek and be transferred from the airport to Gocheganas for a three nights stay. Situated a mere 29 kilometres south east from Windhoek on a hilltop overlooking a spectacular landscape, Gocheganas is a luxury lodge offering a unique combination of Wildlife, Nature and Wellness experiences.
Days 15 to 18:
This safari trip will end with a car transfer to the NamibRand Nature reserve where you will spend four night at Wolwedans. Wolwedans nestles into the dunes and is set against a backdrop of extraordinary natural beauty. Located in the heart of NamibRand Nature Reserve, our portfolio of camps provides the perfect base from which to explore vast stretches of awe-inspiring and undisturbed nature.
