Days 1 to 3:

Your safari starts at Tambo airport (Johannesburg International Airport) with an internal flight to Nelspruit. You will then be transferred via road (1 hour approximately) to your first destination: Rhino Walking Safari for a 3 night-stay in a sublime private concession in the Kruger National Park. Plains Camp has four luxury African explorer-style tents with en-suite (hot running water) and all the comforts of home, plus the African Wilderness on your doorstep.  Built in authentic pioneer tradition it has the serenity of a 19th century naturalists retreat, nestled in an Acacia Knobthorn thicket and overlooking the spectacular Timbitene plain and waterhole. An Africana book collection and antique treasures are reminiscent of a golden era. 

Our walking trails are limited to eight guests who are guided by two armed rangers.  Our guides meet the stringent requirements of the South African National Parks and senior guides hold the highest guiding qualification possible in South Africa. After an introductory brief on the “do’s” and “don’ts” of bush walking safaris, the guide will structure the trail taking into account the fitness level of the group and any special requests.  Departures are before breakfast and again in the late afternoon to avoid the midday heat, with the average walk being between three and four hours.  Walks may be lengthened or shortened depending on the group’s desires and fitness levels.

Days 4 to 5:

You will walk to your next destination, Rhino Post Safari Lodge where you will spend 2 nights. Rhino Post Safari Lodge is situated at the southern end of our 12,000 hectare private wilderness concession in the Kruger National Park.  The concession shares a 15km unfenced boundary with the famous Mala Mala and Sabi Sand reserve with an abundance of wildlife moving freely between the two reserves. The concession is noted as an excellent game viewing area with encounters with the Big Five and good sightings can be expected.

hino Post Safari Lodge is an elegant 16 bed lodge from where we embark on our twice daily game drives.  As well as making use of our private concession roads we have exclusive use of some of the Kruger National Park’s public roads for evening game drives, well after gate closing times (sunset), ensuring guests an unforgettable experience.

Day 6:

After a road transfer to Nelspruit airport, you will fly to Johannesburg where your next flight will be waiting for you. You will spend the night in the Johannesburg – Mahé flight and wake-up in Seychelles.

Days 7 to 12:

You will be transferred by car and boat to the small and beautiful Cerf Island for a sublime 7 nights stay at the Cerf Island Resort. Situated at the entrance of the Marine Park, The Cerf Island Resort offers 12 private and luxurious Villas, within a naturally elegant exclusive Resort. Cerf Island measures more than 1.5 km long (about 1 mile) and almost 1 km wide (almost 2/3rd of a mile), it reaches a height of 108 m (354 feet) and lies 3 km east of Mahé. Cerf Island was named after the French frégate "Le Cerf" which arrived at Port Victoria on 1 November 1756.
 
The resort is designed to deliver a true Creole experience facilitated by incorporating the Seychellois architecture and design while preserving the natural surroundings. The resort boasts a dine dining restaurant, infinity pool, pool bar and beach side dining, secluded full service beach, relaxing lounge, and private mini spa. Dining is certainly an unforgettable affair. The restaurant is perched on a cliff top with unimpeded sea views - a heavenly setting. There is a wide choice of fine traditional Creole and international cuisine, a treasure of fresh seafood and local natural produce. 

Day 13:

You trip ends in Mahé after a boat and car transfer from Cerf Island. You will then be able to fly home.
