Days 2 to 5:
In the morning of the second day, you will fly from Arusha to the Tarangire National Park for a 4 nights stay at the incredible Oliver’s Camp. Famous for its walking safaris, the camp offers a fantastic range of activities that allows guests to truly immerse themselves in the wild nature and abundant wildlife of Tarangire National Park. Lion, leopard and cheetah stalk a wide range of mammals amongst the mystic baobab trees of the park, sharing the landscape with the famed Tarangire elephant and buffalo population and a spectacular concentration of bird species. A world-class team will take personal care of you, catering to your every need while you relax on your private veranda or around the evening campfire.
Days 6 to 9:
After a last morning game drive, you will fly to the Serengeti National Park and follow the migration during four days. The camp in Serengeti varies depending on the time of the year. Between mid July and the end of October, you will spend four nights at the wonderful Sayari Camp. The majestic landscape of the northern Serengeti is one of the best kept secrets of African safaris. Far from the tourist track, the area offers undisturbed exploration of the fantastic Serengeti National Park, with off-road driving still allowed in some parts. Endless rolling plains and riverine woodlands are home to lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant, large herds of antelope and many, many other animals. The stunning Mara River, filled with hippos and crocodiles, cuts through this land and hosts one of the greatest spectacles nature has to offer: the dramatic wildebeest crossings of the Mara River. Between mid July and November, the Great Migration typically visits the area and crosses the Mara River back and forth in search of green grass.
Sayari is Swahili for universe or planet, capturing the vast plains and endless skies in which the camp is immersed. Sayari Camp was designed to strike the perfect balance between luxury and immersion in the extensive Serengeti. The 8 spacious guest tents blend perfectly into the majestic landscape. Each tent is beautifully designed with original and traditional cloth and furniture and has a king-size bed, en-suite bathroom and a private veranda with a comfortable couch, overlooking the Serengeti. The dining area, lounge area and campfire create a perfect bush setting, with Africa as the backdrop.
Days 10 to 13:
After more than a week in Safari, it is now time for a break in Zanzibar. You will fly directly from the Serengeti to the
beautiful island of Zanzibar and will be transferred via car to the superb Matemwe Lodge. Matemwe lies perched on a coral rock, surrounded by the best beaches and right opposite the Mnemba Atoll,
which offers spectacular diving and snorkeling. The friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, lush tropical gardens, fine white sand, intimate swimming pools, massages, and magnificent food
specializing in fresh seafood make Matemwe the ultimate tropical paradise on the intriguing island of Zanzibar.
The lodge consists of 12 beautiful bungalows, built from local materials and surrounded by beautiful garden. Each suite has a private veranda with hammocks and couches overlooking the Indian
Ocean. Inside the room, you'll find a grand, king-size bed, an extra single bed, plenty of space and personal touches. The bathrooms are large and have deep bathtubs and walk-in showers. Although
mosquitoes are rare in Matemwe, all rooms are equipped with a large mosquito net.
Day 14:
You safari will end at the airport of Zanzibar after a car transfer from Matemwe lodge.
