Grumeti Luxury Tented Camp

Grumeti Luxury Tented Camp is the first of what is hoped will be a number of facilities focused on all the key areas of wildlife activity in the Serengeti region. It is one of a handful of similar facilities that line the principal route of hundreds of thousands of hoofed creatures, and the predators that will inevitably follow them, as they migrate across this region.

Not to be forgotten in this unique concept of eco-tourism is the care taken in every aspect of tent construction, layout and camp logistics to maintain as a minimalist an approach as possible. We like to think that if the camp was to moved no trace would remain behind. We also take pride in a holistic approach to conservation and integration with local communities. All our guides are local, with local knowledge and local affiliations. Accommodation

Constructed with robust canvas and stone pillars, simple yet elegant concept, furnished in a contemporary safari style featuring African fabrics. Each tent offers a comfortable bed , en-suite bathroom and shower facility. The verandah overlooks the savannah, a perfect setting to relax, read a book or gaze into the night sky.

Arrival area is deliberately set aside from the tents in order to maintain the tranquility of the site. The tented rooms are widely spaced to ensure privacy and offer you a real sense of freedom.

Every tent is surrounded by a diverse range of plant life and has fine views of the surrounding terrain. A walkway leads you to stunning bar, dining, fire place and relaxing lounge area that opens on to a raised, verandah where you can admire the Serengeti plains. Meals are taken in adjoining restaurant reached via a good walk on the Serengeti slate stones.
