Inchigo Chobe River Lodge & the Ichobezi Safariboats

Inchigo Chobe River Lodge is a luxury tented lodge consisting of eight large Meru safari tents each beautifully turned out with its own private balcony overlooking the Chobe River and an en-suite bathroom. Each tent is positioned to ensure maximum privacy and to allow guests to relax in an environment that is truly distinctive. The main Lodge buildings are designed to provide total comfort and include a relaxing lounge, a welcoming bar and a separate open-air dining room. All of these areas are situated under thatch and are built to blend into the scenery amidst the large riverine trees.

In perfect harmony to the lodge, the ICHOBEZI LUXURY SAFARIBOATS are unmatched in style, elegance and pure comfort and allows you the thrill of overnighting in some of the most scenic areas along the river.

Each safariboat has four large twin cabins, beautifully decorated with the focal feature being the large sliding window that allows you your own personal view of the changing landscapes before you. The cabins also have an en-suite bathroom, each tastefully fitted with a modern shower, toilet and hand basin.

Activities

Game viewing by boat into the Chobe National Park provides an ideal platform to view the abundant wildlife of the Chobe National Park. Being on the river allows you to get closer to the large variety of game including elephant, buffalo, giraffe, kudu, waterbuck and the shy Chobe bushbuck. In the dry season (May to September), incredible herds of Elephant can be viewed - in fact the largest concentration in Africa. These mighty symbols of Africa provide spectacular moments and excellent photo opportunities as they swim in the evenings across the Chobe River between Botswana and Zambia.

Fishing for Tigerfish and Bream in both the Chobe and Zambesi Rivers. There is access to over 100 kilometers of rivers providing excellent fishing in what is undoubtedly the premier Tiger fishing water in Africa. The Lodge is particularly renowned for the quality of its guides and their success in landing Tigerfish, especially when fly-fishing. High quality tackle is available for guest use.
